Jeppe Büchert Netterstrøm

Associate Professor, PhD, Aarhus University.

My research has mainly focused on feuding, homicides and violent crimes in the late middle ages and early modern period. I have also published on legal practice in rural as well as urban settings: The legal relationship between lords and peasants and law enforcement by royal representatives and town magistrates. Lately, I have done research on diverse subjects of legal history such as military law and the use of judicial ordeals in early modern homicide cases.
